More op-amp chips: audio, rail-to-rail and precision
Audio, rail-to-rail and precision op-amp chips, each in its package with its datasheet pinout and its maker's typical numbers.
The NE5532, LM833 and OPA2134 audio duals, the MCP6002, MCP6004 and LMV358 rail-to-rail parts for 3.3 V and 5 V boards, the TL081 and TL084 (the single and quad of the TL072's family), the OP07 precision single and the CA3140. Aliases: NE5532P, SA5532, LM833N, OPA134, MCP6001, LMV321, LMV324, TL071, TL074, OP07C, CA3140E, rail-to-rail op-amp, audio op-amp.
Every amplifier is the same model the op-amp chips (LM358, LM324, TL072, LM741) use, with its own numbers. The LM2904 is the LM358 rated for -40 to 125 °C and the TL082 the TL072's TL08x twin: search for either and you get the LM358 or the TL072.
Pinouts
The duals all have the LM358's pin order, with their maker's pin names:

The singles have the 741's: IN- on pin 2, IN+ on pin 3, the negative supply on
pin 4, OUT on pin 6 and the positive supply on pin 7. Pins 1, 5 and 8 are offset
null, NC or (on the CA3140) strobe, and are not connected inside the model.
The quads have the LM324's: the MCP6004 with VDD on pin 4 and VSS on pin 11,
the TL084 with VCC+ on pin 4 and VCC- on pin 11.
The numbers
| Chip | open-loop gain | gain-bandwidth | slew rate | output swing | short circuit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| NE5532 | 100 000 | 12 MHz | 5 V/µs | 2 V inside both rails | 38 mA |
| LM833 | 316 000 | 16 MHz | 7 V/µs | 1.2 V under the top, 1.3 V over the bottom | 29 mA |
| OPA2134 | 1 000 000 | 8 MHz | 20 V/µs | 1.2 V under the top, 0.5 V over the bottom | 36 mA |
| MCP6002, MCP6004 | 400 000 | 1 MHz | 0.6 V/µs | 25 mV inside both rails | 23 mA |
| LMV358 | 100 000 | 1 MHz | 1 V/µs | 10 mV under the top, 65 mV over the bottom | 40 mA |
| TL081, TL084 | 200 000 | 3 MHz | 13 V/µs | 1.5 V inside both rails | 40 mA |
| OP07 | 400 000 | 0.6 MHz | 0.3 V/µs | 2 V inside both rails | 25 mA |
| CA3140 | 100 000 | 4.5 MHz | 9 V/µs | 2 V under the top, 0.13 V over the bottom | 40 mA |
The sources are TI's data sheets (NE5532, LM833, OPA2134, LMV358, TL08x, OP07), Microchip's (MCP6002) and Renesas' (CA3140). Where a sheet gives different sourcing and sinking limits the model's single limit is the sourcing one, and the OP07's sheet gives none, so it has the 741's 25 mA. The NE5532's swing is from TI's earlier sheets, which printed it.
Which one to use
On a 3.3 V board, the MCP6002 or MCP6004. They run from 1.8 V to 6 V and their outputs reach within 25 mV of both rails, so an ESP32's or a Pico's ADC gets the whole range. The LMV358 is the same idea for 2.7 V to 5.5 V.
For audio on a split supply, the NE5532, LM833 or OPA2134. They are fast and quiet; none of them gets near its rails, so give them ±9 V to ±15 V.
On one 5 V supply with a signal near ground, the CA3140, whose output goes down to 0.13 V. It stops 2 V under the top, so on 5 V it tops out at 3 V.
Properties
offset is the input offset voltage in millivolts, added to every amplifier in the
package, and zero unless you set it. The OP07 is bought for its microvolts of
offset; here every chip is that precise until you set one.
While it runs
Each output lead and its label light while that output is above the middle of the supply.
What it does not model
What the op-amp chips article lists: no input current (so FET and JFET inputs, the OPA2134's and the TL08x's reason for being, cannot be told apart from bipolar ones), no common-mode input range, no noise (so the NE5532's and LM833's low noise does not show), no supply current. The TL081 and TL084 are on the TL072's numbers, TI's original TL08x figures; TI's current TL08x die is faster (5.25 MHz, 20 V/µs), which this does not draw. A slew rate faster than the simulator draws (the OPA2134's 20 V/µs, the TL08x's 13) is set by the bandwidth instead.
Common mistakes
Putting an MCP6002 on 12 V: it is a 6 V part. Putting an NE5532 on a single 5 V
supply: it stays 2 V from both rails, so it has 1 V to swing in. Expecting the
TL084's supply on the LM324's pins: it is on the same pins, but pin 4 is the
positive one, so wire VCC+ there.
