The sign-in link did not arrive

Where the mail comes from, how long the link lasts, and what to try.

Fifteen minutes

A sign-in link is good for fifteen minutes. After that it is expired and asking for another one is the answer; there is nothing to recover.

The other links last longer: a verification link is good for 24 hours and a password reset for one hour.

Where it comes from

Mail sends from mail.mokxi.com. A sign-in or account message comes from noreply@, so that is what to search your inbox for, and what to look for in a spam folder.

Things worth checking, in order

1. The spam folder. This is the answer most of the time.
2. The address. The page answers the same way whether or not the address has an account, on purpose: telling a stranger which addresses are registered is not our business. So a typo looks exactly like a success.
3. A school or company filter. Managed mail often holds a first message from a new sender for a while, or drops it. If you can, try a personal address.
4. Press resend. The confirmation page has a resend on it. Requests are rate limited, by address and by browser, so a burst of presses will slow down rather than speed up.

Use another way in instead

You do not have to wait. The same account is reachable by Google or GitHub, as long as the email address matches and has been confirmed, and by a password if you set one.

You may not need to sign in at all

The simulator works signed out: every board, every part, the compiler and the serial monitor. Your work is kept in this browser as you go, and Share gives you a link that carries the whole project inside it. An account adds cloud saving and a page of your own, not the product.
