IRF520 and D4184 MOSFET modules

One switch drives an IRF520 module and a D4184 module, each on a 12 V load: the IRF520 is half on from 5 V and off from 3.3 V. There is no microcontroller in it: the simulator solves the 5 parts as a circuit, so it runs the moment you press Run, and nothing needs compiling.

How it works

There is no microcontroller in this one, so nothing is compiled: the simulator solves the circuit itself. The file in the editor is the notes that come with it.

// Two MOSFET boards on one "pin": the IRF520 board on the left, the D4184
// board on the right, each switching a 15 ohm load on 12 V.
//
// Press Run and click the switch to HIGH. The D4184 is fully on from 5 V; the
// IRF520, specified at a 10 V gate, is about an ohm and warms up. Set the 5 V
// symbol to 3.3 V and the IRF520 board passes almost nothing, its LED lit all
// the same. /learn/arduino-irf520-mosfet-module explains why.

Parts list

9 parts, plus the jumper wires. They retail for about $7.95; on Mokxi they're free.

How it is wired

9 connections, pin by pin, read from the circuit itself. Each line is one set of pins joined together, by a jumper wire or a breadboard strip.
