L9110 motor by hand
An L9110S module, a motor, a four-AA pack and two switches, no board: each output follows its input, and equal inputs brake. There is no microcontroller in it: the simulator solves the 5 parts as a circuit, so it runs the moment you press Run, and nothing needs compiling.

How it works
There is no microcontroller in this one, so nothing is compiled: the simulator solves the circuit itself. The file in the editor is the notes that come with it.
// An L9110S (HG7881) module, a motor and two switches. No board.
//
// A-IA and A-IB each go to a switch between the pack's - and +.
// Each output follows its own input:
//
// A-IA A-IB motor
// up down one way
// down up the other way
// down down brake
// up up brake (there is no coast on this chip)
//
// Four AA cells are 6.4 V fresh: the L9110S is rated to 6.5 V.
Parts list
6 parts, plus the jumper wires. Every one is in the editor's parts bin.
- 1 × Half breadboard
- 2 × Slide switch
- 1 × Motor driver, L9110S
- 1 × DC motor
- 1 × Battery, 9 V, AA or 18650
How it is wired
6 connections, pin by pin, read from the circuit itself. Each line is one set of pins joined together, by a jumper wire or a breadboard strip.
- Ground: Slide switch (1) pin 1; Slide switch (2) pin 1; Motor driver, L9110S pin GND; Battery, 9 V, AA or 18650 pin V-
- Slide switch (1) pin 2; Motor driver, L9110S pin AIA
- Slide switch (1) pin 3; Slide switch (2) pin 3; Motor driver, L9110S pin VCC; Battery, 9 V, AA or 18650 pin V+
- Slide switch (2) pin 2; Motor driver, L9110S pin AIB
- Motor driver, L9110S pin OA1; DC motor pin 1
- Motor driver, L9110S pin OA2; DC motor pin 2
Change it and keep it
