Built-in project · no microcontroller
Blink and press
A pushbutton and a 2 Hz clock, no processor in sight. There is no microcontroller in it: the simulator solves the 6 parts as a circuit, so it runs the moment you press Run, and nothing needs compiling.
Runs in your browser. Free, and no account needed.
Hold the button
The circuit itself, running here on the simulator. Press what can be pressed; click anything else to open it in the editor.
How it works
There is no microcontroller in this one, so nothing is compiled: the simulator solves the circuit itself. The file in the editor is the notes that come with it.
sketch.ino
// Mokxi.
// This circuit has no board, so Run simulates the parts only.
// Add a board and pick a program in its Firmware panel: the editor then shows
// that program's source, and Run builds what you type here for that board.

Parts list
8 parts, plus the jumper wires. Every one is in the editor's parts bin.
- 1 × Full-size breadboard
- 1 × Power, 5 V
- 1 × Pushbutton
- 1 × LED, red
- 2 × Resistor, 220 Ω
- 1 × Clock
- 1 × LED, green
How it is wired
6 connections, pin by pin, read from the circuit itself. Each line is one set of pins joined together, by a jumper wire or a breadboard strip.
- 5 V: Pushbutton pin 1a
- Ground: Resistor, 220 Ω (1) pin 2; Resistor, 220 Ω (2) pin 2
- Pushbutton pin 2b; LED, red pin A
- LED, red pin C; Resistor, 220 Ω (1) pin 1
- Clock pin OUT; LED, green pin A
- LED, green pin C; Resistor, 220 Ω (2) pin 1
Change it and keep it
