# The newsletter

What it is, how to get it, and how to stop getting it.

## What arrives

What shipped, and one circuit worth opening. Once every two weeks.

It is split into eight lists, and you choose which of them you want. All eight
are on by default:

- Product updates: what shipped, in parts, boards and the editor

- Tutorials and projects: step by step circuits to build

- Community picks: projects other people built, worth opening

- Board news: ESP32, Uno, Pico and STM32, new models and what they can do

- Classroom and teachers: using Mokxi with a class

- Launches and offers: launch days, plans and anything with a price on it

- Compiler and firmware: the in-browser toolchain, ELF uploads, firmware notes

- The newsletter: what shipped and one circuit worth opening, every two weeks

There is a ninth, Daily challenge, which is off unless you ask for it: one
short circuit task a day. See

## Signing up

One field and one button, in the site footer, on
/newsletter, and as a plain ticked box on the sign-up form.

The lists are shown ticked on the page, so what you are agreeing to is in front
of you rather than in a preferences screen you never open. Unticking one is a
click, not a requirement.

It is double opt-in. Signing up writes a pending record; a link arrives, and
only following that link confirms it. Nothing is ever sent to an address that
has not confirmed.

## Changing what you get

From the link at the foot of any newsletter, or from the Email section of
your account page. Both open the same preferences,
and you can turn individual lists off without leaving altogether.

## Leaving

Every newsletter carries a one-click unsubscribe, the kind mail clients put a
button on. Pressing it takes you off every list at once, with no confirmation
page to wade through.

If you change your mind, the same link puts you back on the default lists.

An address that has unsubscribed stays unsubscribed. Nothing, including an
import, can put it back without you.

## Where it comes from

Mail sends from mail.mokxi.com. Sign-in and account mail comes from
noreply@, the list from hello@, and support threads from support@. If you
reply to a support message, the reply lands back on the ticket. See
